What is Reflexology?

Foot Chart.jpgReflexology is a science which is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet which correspond to all of the organs, glands, muscle groups and all parts of the body. Stimulating these reflexes properly can help many health problems in a safe, non-invasive and natural way.

The idea behind Reflexology is not new - in fact it was practiced as early as 2330 B.C. by the Egyptian culture and developed in similar forms in other cultures primarily in Asia. It is similar in the way it works to Acupressure and Shiatsu Massage as it works along zones of energy or "meridians" and along nerve pathways which end in the feet. Reflexology reduces stress and tension, improves circulation, unblocks nerve pathways and helps break up congestion. Reflexology is deeply relaxing and is excellent in combating the effects of nervous tension and stress. The primary goal of Reflexology is to bring the body back into a state of balance or homeostasis.
